• Review of "Scott MacGregor - State Farm Insurance Agent" at Midland

  I recently got in my first accident (my vehicle and a tree in snowy weather; I was not hurt) and after calling the police, I called Scott's office and he answered and firstly asked if I was OK. He then walked me through the EASY process of getting my vehicle back into shape once I was ready to do so. Scott and his staff are always attentive to myself and my fiance and even know us by name when we come into the office to pay every 6 months. We have only been customers for 1 year and barely ever go in, yet they still treat us like family! They helped us understand all the different policies that apply to us (renters, jewelry, auto) and have giving us a full coverage policy at a competitive price to other agencies. Even though State Farm is a national company, having a local office that treats you personally has been a great and easy experience. I would highly recommend Sott MacGregor!

• Review of "Chemical Bank" at Midland

  Two months ago i was told that i could not get a loan to buy a washer and drier, due to my credit score being below 690. I had a 688. Never mind that, when i finally did get a loan through another company, The bank manager in the downtown office gave me an awfully caviler attitude about cashing my check stating "I only had 15 dollars in account." Treated me like my credit balance was the only thing that mattered. Fast forward to this month, I came up shy 12 dollars on my checking account. Yes yes I made a mistake there, now when i logged into my online account, I had a pending (Not completely processed) Overdraft fee for 32 FREAKING BUCKS! I went into the local branch (Sanford) and offered them the 12 dollars originally over-drafted, and they wouldn't reverse the fee. I guess my biggest mistake was ever walking into this bank to do business to begin with, Take your money to wildfire.

  Awful experience! I have had accounts with this bank for over 10 years. I seldom use my debit card on this account. An unauthorized payment kept trying to post to my account the bank did not pay it but charged me 3 overdraft fees just for them trying. This left my account In the negative 80 dollars, which if I would have known about it I would have paid it, like I said no reason to check I hadn't used it. I go in to do the whatever loan that I do every year and the lady tells me I have to pay this 80 dollars first. Okay so I pay it. Go back in to do loan and then she tells me they closed my checking account yesterday which I must have to qualify for the loan! Are you Fricken serious I say to the lady. I ask why I was not notified by phone, mail, nothing. she said they sent the letter the day before which I won't even receive for another day yet they already closed it?! The lady said I should check my balance and there was nothing she could do she was rude and unprofessional. 10 years! All my loans are at this bank! Not to mention the negative balance was their overdraft fees for which they never even paid anything! Also no notice and then hide the fact they already closed my account to take my money and refuse me the loan which was my rent money which I was fine with being I was under the impression I was getting the loan like I have every year for years with no issues so I would still have been able to pay my bills and have the money for Christmas. Nope! Then they refused to open a new account for me! Be ware Do not use this bank! This is how they treat loyal long time customers. I left the bank in tears!!!!!
